BHODA Annual Meeting & Gathering — 13 September, 4 p.m., at the home of Charlie & Joanne Cochrane.

Dear BHODA members, it’s that time of year again when we gather to celebrate the season just past and plan for the season ahead. The major accomplishment this year has been the development of a website that is up to date, managed, and allows for membership renewals and contributions to be made online. The site also features wonderful photographs of One Designs under sail — thank you, Don Snyder — as well as featured boats for sale. The site was expertly developed by Eric Hakanson, Jr., for which BHODA is extremely grateful.

BHODA also continued sponsorship of the Regatta, held Wednesday evening races, and worked diligently to get as many One Designs on the water as possible. A highlight of the season was the donation of Mumtaz to the Junior Program, and she is now being raced in the Regatta. Many members sent in responses to the online survey — many positive, and all helpful. Do respond if you have not done so; these thoughts are critical as we plan the future of BHODA. And don’t forget to pay your dues — adding a small donation will be appreciated.

This year the Cochranes have graciously offered to host our Annual Meeting at their beautiful home on Southport. As always we ask each of you to bring an appetizer, salad or dessert; the Board will provide main courses. In addition to a social time, we will hold our Annual Meeting and vote on the Board members for the upcoming year. Treasurer Don Snyder will provide an annual Financial Report, and we will discuss any other business that properly comes before the Membership.
